This is an indication that you are serious about getting to know the person that can help you.
The following is a brief explanation of why I created this blog.
I was a single parent most of my younger son’s life and have worked full time from a home office since 2004. I know the “the ins and outs” of what it is like to work at home and out of the home when you have children. Yes, parents do it everyday, but just as it is not the same quality of life for a child from a struggling single parent home, it can be the same when the sole provider or both parents work out of the home. This is especially true when it is demanding work and they are not left with “extra” money after all of the bills are paid.
In this economy, there is not much “extra” money in a corporate budget, none-the-less in a struggling household.
Contrary to what many believe, it is JUST as challenging to work from home when you REALLY need to make money for bills (not supplement your income or have the luxury of taking the time to grow a business). The greatest misconception is that working from home is easy – IT IS NOT EASY - until you learn and establish routines. Regardless, if your child is sitting beside you or you can stop working when you want, and “be there” to talk, cook, eat, play, exercise, do homework, run to activities and all of the parenting things we typically rush through, then your child is better off than if you were not.
I recently read an article stating that child obesity is less in children of parents that work part time – how fantastic is that? Imagine all of the changes you can make for your child(ren) by working from home; or at least increasing your income with new skills that permit you to make money online part-time. I assure you that it is more of a struggle for a single parent in either situation. Regardless, in my experience, working from home, on the Internet, was a much better choice for my family. I am supportive of the process it will take and the success that parents can achieve by working online , working from home or both.
